The family members had a ray of hope when some of his friends received "notifications" on Facebook of her son being safe. However there was no confirmation from the external affairs ministry. The external affairs ministry had assured the family of all possible help.

The Indian Embassy in Brussels had made efforts to locate Ganesh since the terror attacks at the Brussels airport and the metro on Tuesday which left 31 dead and 300 injured.

Raghavendra's brother had arrived in Brussels to help with the operations. Several employees of Infosys too had helped with the operation. The external affairs ministry was confident of finding him based on the last call intercept he had made to his mother. However hopes had begun to fade out since the past 48 hours.
