Visuals broadcasted by news channels showed the girl safe and sound. She was located on a train heading to West Bengal by members of the Malayalee Association in Visakhapatnam.

Parents Express Gratitude

The girl's parents expressed their relief and gratitude upon seeing the visuals. They thanked the police and media for their assistance in locating their daughter. "We were worried whether she had eaten anything since yesterday. Now we are happy," they said.

Her mother revealed that the girl left home because she had been hit. The parents spoke to her over the phone, and she confirmed she had eaten and wanted to return home.

Search Operations Intensified

Kerala Police intensified their search efforts on Wednesday to find the girl, identified as Thasmid Thamasum. She is the eldest daughter of a daily wage earner from Assam living in Kazhakkoottam near Thiruvananthapuram.

The 13-year-old was last seen at around 10:30 am on Tuesday at her rented home. After initial searches, her parents filed a complaint with the local police, who then launched a massive search operation by evening.

Key Leads and Discoveries

The police reviewed CCTV footage from various parts of the city, including railway and bus stations. A woman passenger provided a crucial lead by informing the police about a girl resembling Thamasum on a Kanyakumari-bound train.

The passenger also shared a photo of the crying girl with the police. The parents later confirmed that the photo was indeed of their missing daughter.

On Wednesday morning, Kerala Police extended their search to the Kanyakumari region in Tamil Nadu based on additional information. However, there was no confirmation if the girl had reached Kanyakumari.

The girl's elder brother also expressed his happiness upon learning that his sister had been found. The family is now relieved that she is safe and eager to have her back home.
