Miracle In Ashes: Sacred Gita And Lord Krishna’s Idol Survive Deadly Air India Crash

In a heartbreaking tragedy that reduced an Air India Dreamliner to a fiery heap in Ahmedabad, where nearly everything was reduced to ashes, a miracle has stirred hope and wonder. Amid the debris and destruction, a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and a small idol of Lord Krishna were found completely untouched-offering what many are calling a divine sign amid overwhelming grief.

According to India TV these sacred items belonged to 27-year-old Jayshree Patel, a passenger on the ill-fated flight. Jayshree, who hailed from Khambhisar village in Modasa tehsil of Gujarat's Aravalli district, was flying to London for the first time after her marriage. A devout follower of Lord Krishna, she never travelled without carrying the idol of the deity and a pocket copy of the Gita-both of which were with her on the doomed flight.

The plane, carrying 242 people, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad airport on Thursday. All but one passenger perished. Jayshree was among those who died in the tragedy, just months into her new life. According to her family, she had married Akash, a UK-based professional, three months ago. The couple had spent just 15 days together after the wedding before Akash returned to London. Jayshree had been eagerly awaiting her visa and finally received it days before the crash.

What has shocked everyone is the condition in which her belongings were found. While her body could not be saved, the Bhagavad Gita and Krishna idol she carried were discovered virtually intact, amidst the smouldering remains of the aircraft. A video capturing the moment these sacred objects were recovered is now going viral on social media, with many calling it a symbol of divine presence and spiritual resilience.

Her grieving family, still struggling to comprehend the enormity of the loss, sees in this miraculous survival of the Gita and idol a message from above. "She was so close to fulfilling her dream," said a family member. "But perhaps God had a different plan. Her devotion lived on-even if she could not."

The incident has touched a spiritual chord across the country, with many interpreting the survival of these sacred items as a divine sign amid one of the worst aviation disasters in recent Indian history.
