Minorities, poor under attack in WB: BJP MLA

Referring to Birbhum, where four persons were injured in a clash between BJP and ruling TMC activists at troubled Parui in Birbhum district during a visit by BJP state president Rahul Sinha to a nearby village, said the government was frequently changing the officer-in-charge of the police station but was 'not doing what needed to be done'.
The law and order situation in Birbhum was 'very alarming' and BJP's minority supporters were subject to attacks and torture by Trinamool Congress activists, he alleged. BJP state president Rahul Sinha's car was attacked at Imadpur in Birbhum district yesterday when he was going to address a meeting at troubled Parui village, he said. "The Birbhum district Trinamool president is virtually playing the role of the district SP," he alleged and added that BJP had wanted a statement from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the law and order situation in Birbhum.
"If not the CM, the parliamentary affairs minister could have given the statement", he said. He criticised West Bengal Minorities Commission for keeping its 'eyes closed'. "Where are they? The panel members are not to seen around even the minorities are being attacked."
