Minor girl raped; accused held in Bihar

Nawada (Bihar), Sep 29: A seven-year-old girl was today allgedly raped by a youth in a locality under Kauakol police station area in this district.

The incident took place in Gola Balraji Bazar as the girl was taken by one Rajo Manjhi to an isolated place where he raped her, police officials said.

Upon hearing girl's cries, her family members overpowered the accused and beat him up.

Later they handed him over to the police who took him to a hospital under its custody, they said.

The victim too was admitted to a hospital for medical examination.
