Ministry Of Education Shares New Guidelines For Coaching Centers, No Admission Allowed Below 16 Years
The Ministry of Education on Thursday shared new guidelines for the enrollment of students in coaching centers. As per the new directive, Coaching centers across the country will not be permitted to enroll students below the age of 16. The admission procedure in coaching centers will only be allowed after a student qualifies secondary school education examination.
The Ministry of Education's new guidelines warn coaching institutes against making misleading promises and guaranteed marks advertisements.

New guidelines for coach centers have been introduced by the government to regulate private institutes that are taking unaccounted money from students and their parents. The action from the Ministry of Education comes after several complaints raised by parents and in view of rising student suicide cases.
Reports said that private coaching centers running in narrow passages and buildings lack basic facilities and do not follow the proper teaching methodologies,
Registration requirements include the following conditions for coaching centers:
1. Employ tutors with at least a graduation-level qualification.
2. Refrain from making deceptive promises or assurances of specific ranks or high marks to parents or students as an inducement for enrollment.
3. Only enroll students who have completed the secondary school examination and are at least 16 years old.
4. Avoid publishing or participating in the publication of any misleading advertisements that make claims, either directly or indirectly, about the coaching center's quality, facilities, or the achievements of its students.
5. Ensure compliance with the minimum space requirement per student; coaching centers with less than the specified space will not be eligible for registration.
Objectives for the Ministry of Education's New Guidelines:
1. Creating a structure for the registration and oversight of coaching centers.
2. Clearly outlining the minimum standards necessary for the functioning of coaching centers.
3. Safeguarding the welfare of students who are enrolled in coaching centers.
4. Promoting a focus on co-curricular activities within coaching centers to facilitate holistic student development.
