Militant killed, soldier injured in Kashmir gunfight
The soldier's condition was said to be stable
Srinagar, Nov 5: A militant was killed and a soldier injured on Saturday in a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
"Security forces surrounded the Dubjan forest area following information about a group of terrorists hiding there," Defence spokesman, Colonel Rajesh Kalia told.
"When challenged, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a shootout."
The soldier's condition was said to be stable.
