Labourer lynched in Kottayam
Kottayam, May 5: A migrant worker was tied and beat mercilessly by a group of people who mistook him to be a thief. Kailas Jyothy Behra (30), had come down from Assam by train on Wednesday morning, along with two friends Roopam Gogoi and Gokul Gogoi.
They went to the Poovanthuruth industrial area where Behra got separated from the two and was looking out for them. Found wondering in the area, some people mistook him for being a thief and caught him. They tied his limbs with a plastic rope and beat him up.

The incident took place between 12 noon and 1 pm near the Chiramuttam temple. By the time police took him to the hospital, he was declared dead.
