The incident occurred during a routine night training mission in the Barmer sector, as reported by the Indian Air Force on X.

The pilot was reported to have ejected safely, and no casualties or property damage on the ground have been reported. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident. According to Barmer's Superintendent of Police Narendra Meena, the plane crashed in a remote area, away from populated regions.

Due to the difficult terrain, fire tenders have been unable to access the crash site. Previously, on June 4, a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet from the Indian Air Force crashed near Shirasgaon village in the Niphad tehsil of Nashik at approximately 1:20 p.m.

Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected safely from the aircraft. Following the crash, the aircraft caught fire, which was subsequently extinguished. Debris from the jet was scattered over a 500-meter radius. Security and technical teams from the Indian Air Force and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) visited the crash site for assessment.

IAF Sukhoi-30 MKI Crash Near Nashik in June: Pilot Ejects Safely

On June 4, a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet from the Indian Air Force crashed near Shirasgaon village in the Niphad tehsil of Nashik around 1:20 PM. Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected safely. The aircraft caught fire after the crash, but the blaze was extinguished. Debris was scattered over a 500-meter radius. The crash site was examined by teams from the Indian Air Force and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Earlier Incident: Tejas Aircraft Crash Near Jaisalmer

In March, a Tejas aircraft crashed near Jaisalmer during an operational training sortie. The pilot ejected safely before the impact. The Indian Air Force confirmed the incident and stated that a Court of Inquiry has been set up to determine the cause of the accident.
