MiG-29 Crash Near Agra: Pilots Escape Unharmed, Investigation Underway
A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed near Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. Both pilots safely ejected from the aircraft.
The jet had taken off from Adampur in Punjab and was heading to Agra for a training exercise when the incident occurred. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the crash.

On September 2, a MiG-29 fighter aircraft crashed near Barmer in Rajasthan.
"During a routine night training mission in the Barmer sector, an IAF MiG-29 encountered a critical technical issue, prompting the pilot to eject safely. Thankfully, there were no casualties or property damage reported. A Court of Inquiry has been initiated," stated the IAF in a post on X.
Barmer Superintendent of Police Narendra Meena confirmed that the incident occurred in an unpopulated area. "No human casualties were reported. The aircraft caught fire upon impact," he added.
This incident follows another crash on June 4, when an IAF Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet went down near Shirasgaon village in Maharashtra's Nashik district. Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected safely.
After that crash, the aircraft caught fire, which was subsequently extinguished, and debris was scattered over a 500-meter radius. Teams from the Indian Air Force and HAL's security and technical departments were dispatched to the site.
