Mersal mocks GST, Kamal Haasan says ‘don't silence critics'
Taking a strong exception to BJP's opposition to Tamil movie Mersal mocking the GST, actor Kamal Haasan on Friday said the film was certified, adding that critics should not be silenced.
Mersal, the Vijay starrer film, came under criticism from the BJP. The BJP registered its displeasure over some dialogues in the movie that questioned the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax.

Tamil Nadu BJP State President, Tamilisai Soundararajan demanded producers remove these scenes.
"I object to certain scenes in Vijay's movie 'Mersal'. Certain scenes project GST and digital India in a bad light and we want these scenes removed. Vijay has political ambitions and that is the reason why these scenes are there in the movie," she had said.
