Gen V K Singh's remark hasn't gone down well with many politicos with most of them being vocal about their opinion.

Prominent political leaders have taken to social media to slam the BJP leader. AICC spokesperson and Karnataka congress acting president Dinesh Gundu Rao slammed the BJP for its leader's comments. "Another question..when will @narendramodi and @BJP4India check the mental state of @Gen_VKSingh?" asked the congressman on Twitter.

Gen V K Singh

Gen V K Singh's remark hasn't gone down well with many politicos with most of them being vocal about their opinion. Speaking to the media Congress' Raj Babbar minced no words in lambasting Gen V K Singh, " His mental condition needs to be examined, shameful that such a person writes 'General' before his name", said the leader who had fought against V K Singh from Ghaziabad in 2014 General elections.

Even as Gen V K Singh has come under severe fire for his statement, other BJP leaders continue to make insensitive comments over the soldier's suicide. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said. "Shaheed' are those who lay down their lives at the border, not who commit suicide". This statement is sure to become fodder for those already attacking BJP leaders for their statements over the deceased soldier.
