Men’s best friend: Dog risks his life to save his master after he was attacked by lions in Gujarat

    Gandhinagar, July 23: Everyone needs a dog like the one owned by a Gujarat shepherd.

    Recently, Bhavesh Hamir Bharwad (25), a shepherd in Gujarat's Ambardi village, was attacked by a group of lions while he was grazing his sheep. The incident took place on July 21, reported ANI.

    The man was saved, thanks to his dog, who alerted the villagers by barking incessantly to chase away the lions.

    "Gujarat: A shepherd from Amreli's Ambardi village who was grazing his sheep was saved by his dog after he was attacked by three lions on July 21," tweeted ANI.

    Narrating the horrible incident, Bharwad said that the lions attacked him when he was trying to save his sheep from being killed by the animals. As the whole incident unfolded, the shepherd's dog started barking and hearing the commotion other men from the village gathered at the spot.

    Seeing the men, the lions left the place. During the attack, Bharwad sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. Thankfully, the dog remained unhurt.
