Meet these 'Guru Brahmachari's', who stood by rape convict Dera chief
Vipassana and Honeypreet, the two women who are believed to be the confidant of Gurmeet Ram Rahim are making headlines since the sentencing of Dera chief Ram Rahim Singh in a rape case.

Honeypreet, the adopted daughter of Gurmeet, describes herself on social media as papa's angel, philanthropist, director, editor and an actress. She was spotted accompanying Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to the CBI court on Friday when he was convicted by the CBI court in a 2002 rape case. She was also seen accompanying him on the chopper which flew the Dera chief to Rothak jail.
Another woman, Vipassana is widely seen as one of the candidates to succeed Rahim as the leader of the Dera sect. With the speculation about succession battle in his family, the focus is back on these women, who stood by Ram Rahim Singh. She came into limelight on Saturday when she issued a video appeal to Dera followers to maintain peace. In the appeal, she attributed violence to anti-social elements who, according to her, infiltrated Dera followers.
Vipassana and Honeypreet both call themselves "Guru Brahmachari".
In 2009, Ram Rahim proclaimed Honeypreet as his third daughter after adopting her. Her original name was Priyanka Taneja and she belonged to Fatehabad district. Honeypreet has also acted and directed the two series of Gurmeet Ram Rahim's movie MSG. Her Facebook page has over five lakh followers. As per the report, Honeypreet has declared herself as a heir of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on her Facebook page. Interestingly, after he was accused in the rape and sexual exploitation case in the year 2007, Ram Rahim had anointed his son Jasmeet as his successor.

On the other hand, Vipassana 35, joined the Dera right out of college and says as chairperson, she is second in the Dera's ranks.
