Meerut Murder: Woman Allegedly Drugged Merchant Navy Officer Husband, Killed Him, and Vacationed With Lover!

New details have emerged regarding the unsettling alleged murder of Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer, who was reportedly killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, in Meerut. According to police sources, the couple took a vacation together shortly after the murder and dismemberment of Saurabh on March 4.

Saurabh fell victim to a gruesome plot, with his remains dismembered and encased in cement inside a drum after returning to Meerut from London to celebrate the birthdays of his wife and their six-year-old daughter.

On the day of the crime, Muskan reportedly drugged her husband's food, leaving him unconscious. She then collaborated with Sahil to fatally stab Saurabh. Following the murder, the two attempted to dismember the body in a bid to hide their actions.

This was not the duo's first attempt; they had previously tried to carry out the plan on February 25, Muskan's birthday, but Saurabh remained conscious, prompting them to make a second attempt just over a week later.

Initially, they intended to dispose of the dismembered body parts in a remote area, but ultimately chose to conceal them in a large blue drum filled with cement and sand, as reported by news agency PTI, citing SP Ayush Vikram Singh.

Vacation Following the Crime

After committing the murder, Muskan and Sahil supposedly went on vacation to Himachal Pradesh to evade suspicion. Reports indicated that they traveled to Manali, Kasol, and Shimla while Saurabh's dismembered body lay sealed in the blue drum back home.

Muskan's parents, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi, expressed their shock and disbelief over their daughter's involvement in her husband's murder. Pramod criticized her actions, stating she was "not fit for society" and calling for the death penalty for both Muskan and Sahil.

"Saurabh sacrificed everything for Muskan, including his job and family. Yet, she chose to end his life. She has forfeited her right to live; such a person does not earn a place in this world," Pramod was quoted as saying.

Both accused individuals were arrested and presented to the media on Wednesday. A court has placed them in 14-day judicial custody. However, their court appearance resulted in chaos, as a group of lawyers attempted to confront them, trying to strike the couple and grab Sahil's clothing.

Authorities are also investigating claims that Sahil introduced Muskan to drugs, specifically 'Ganja,' further complicating the case.
