Meenakshi Seshadri to Perform a Play on Draupadi at International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra

Meenakshi Seshadri, a veteran actress, is set to perform at the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra on December 11. According to officials, she will present a play about Draupadi from the Mahabharata. The Haryana government shared that Seshadri announced her participation through a video clip.

The cultural events for the festival are scheduled from December 5 to 11 at Brahmasarovar Purushottampura Bagh in Kurukshetra. The festival itself runs from November 28 to December 15. This year, Tanzania is the partner country and Odisha is the partner state.

Performances and Events

The Mahotsav will feature performances by notable film industry figures. On December 5, Tanzanian and Haryana artists will perform choreography on the main stage. This collaboration highlights the international aspect of the festival.

Actor Ashutosh Rana and his team will showcase the play "Hamare Ram" on December 7. The North Zone Cultural Centre will present their performance on December 8, adding to the diverse lineup of cultural displays.

On December 9, artist Manisha will exhibit sand art inspired by the Mahabharata. Following this, Kumar Vishwas and others will host a poetry session, offering a blend of visual and literary arts.

The International Gita Mahotsav aims to celebrate cultural diversity through various performances and exhibitions. By including international and regional artists, it fosters a rich exchange of artistic expressions.
