Mayawati charges money for tickets, says BSP MP Jugal Kishore
Lucknow, Jan 4: BSP MP Jugal Kishore on Sunday made a scathing attack at the party supremo Mayawati.
Kishore told a news agency, "I joined BSP for its struggle and ideology, I wanted to be a part of it till the end."
"BSP has changed its pattern, now it has starting demanding money for giving tickets. For good seats, it charges between Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore and for general seats, it charges Rs 50 lakh", he revealed.
"I told Mayawati ji that this is not right, it will harm the party. Then, she became upset and relieved me from all the responsibilities of the party", he added.
Reacting on the shocking revelation, the Samajwadi Party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that "rumours do not arise from nothing. The Election Commission must take cognizance of matter and act."
"These are serious charge against BSP and Mayawati Ji and even more credible as such allegation has not been made for the first time by a BSP leader. EC must hear all leaders who have made such charges, such a political party should not be allowed to operate", he said.
