Mathura: Two die in road accident

Two people were killed and one person was critically injured today after their motorcycle was hit by a car near a village here, police said.

The accident occurred near the Sonkh police outpost following which villagers blocked the Sonkh-Goverdhan road for some time, Superintendent of Police (SP), Rural, Aditya Kumar Shukla said.

Two of the youths died on the spot while the third is undergoing treatment at a hospital, the officer said.

The car hit their motorcycle when they were trying to overtake a truck, the SP said. The car's driver is at large. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said.
