Mass prayers for Jayalalithaa's recovery
Chennai, Oct 12: Members of Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK party and others continued to hold prayers for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.
At the famed Madurai Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, 108 veenas were played at an event organised by the Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts Society.

In Namakkal town, a yagna was conducted in a temple by the AIADMK unit. Another yagna took place in Nilgiri district.
In churches in Kumbakonam, Dindigul and Tiruvallur, AIADMK cadres held special prayers.
Prayers were offered for the Chief Minister's recovery at a mosque in Kanyakumari district.
Jayalalithaa, 68, was admitted to the Apollo Hospital here on September 22 with fever and dehydration. The doctors later said she was also suffering from infection and put her on respiratory support.
