Manvendra Singh Jasol's Ghar-Wapsi A Boost For BJP: Rajasthan Leaders Rally Behind

Manvendra Singh Jasol, son of the late Jaswant Singh, has made a comeback to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Joining him are several other leaders from Rajasthan, including Mahant Nirmal Das, Tarun Rai Kaga, Balram Prajapat, and Ramsingh Bothia.

Manvendra Singh Jasol, a former Barmer MP, had previously won the election on the BJP's ticket in 2004, securing victory by a margin of over 2.5 lakh votes.

In the 2013 Rajasthan Assembly election, Manvendra Singh contested from the Shiv constituency. However, in 2014, he was suspended from the BJP due to his campaign against the party's Lok Sabha candidate in Barmer.

In 2018, he left the BJP and joined the Congress ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly elections. Now, just before the 2024 elections, he has returned to the saffron party.

For the upcoming election, the BJP has fielded Kailash Choudhary to contest against Congress' Umeda Ram Beniwal for the Barmer Lok Sabha seat.
