The BJP Parliamentary board met on Saturday and discussed who will be Parrikar's successor. The new Goa CM will be named by 4 pm on Saturday, Nov 8 evening.
RSS strongman Laxmikant Parsekar and Catholic face of the state Francis D'Souza are the frontrunners for the CM post, though voices of dissent in the Goa BJP unit have been loud and clear.
D'Souza threatened that he would quit if he was not made the next CM. "If I am not made the next CM, I do not wish to continue in the government," he said.
