Manohar Parrikar launches 20 bike ambulances in Goa
Goa CM Manohar Parrikar launched 20 bike ambulances on Thursday. The two-wheeler ambulances are equipped with basic life-saving equipment and two oxygen cylinders will serve as rapid service at places where ambulances (four-wheeler) cannot reach.
Speaking to ANI, Parrikar said,''These are going to serve as first respondents. Bike ambulances will not replace four-wheeler ambulances but will help them.''
He further said that Goa will be the second state after Karnataka to launch such ambulances. The two-wheeler ambulance will revive and stabilise a patient who will be carried to the hospital in the regular four-wheeler ambulance.
