Manish Sisodia Visits Delhi CM's Family Post Tihar Jail Release
Manish Sisodia, a prominent AAP leader, was released from Tihar jail on Friday evening. He immediately visited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, and other family members. The meeting took place at the CM's Civil Lines residence amidst a large gathering of party officials and supporters.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court granted bail to Sisodia. He had been imprisoned for 17 months following his arrest by the CBI on February 26, 2023. The arrest was related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi government's Excise policy.
Warm Reception at Civil Lines Residence
Sisodia embraced Kejriwal's wife and children during his visit. He also greeted Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, party general secretary Sandeep Pathak, and minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. Additionally, he paid respects to the Delhi Chief Minister's parents by touching their feet.
After his release, Sisodia attributed his bail to the power of the Constitution and democracy. He expressed confidence that this same power would ensure Kejriwal's release. Currently, the Delhi CM is also in Tihar jail due to the same excise policy case filed by the CBI.
Grand Welcome at Mathura Road Residence
Around 9:30 pm, Sisodia arrived at his former official residence on Mathura Road, now allotted to minister Atishi. His family continues to reside there. A large crowd of AAP workers welcomed him with firecrackers.
The former deputy chief minister's return was marked by emotional reunions and significant support from party members and followers. This event highlighted the solidarity within the AAP amidst ongoing legal challenges.
Sisodia's release has been a significant moment for the AAP, reflecting their resilience and belief in democratic principles. The party continues to stand united as they navigate through these legal proceedings.
