Rampant Arson Cases

The Inspector General further informed about the rampant arson cases witnessed amid these conflicts - totaling up to around5,172 incidents reported till date.

Safety Measures For Public Commute

In order to ensure safety for public commute amidst these turbulent times security barricades from Phougakchao Ikhai in Bishnupur district to Kangvai in Churachandpur district have been removed. Additionally, security has been provided on national highways, Muivah stated.

While 79 bodies have been claimed by families, a disheartening number of 96 bodies remain unclaimed and are kept at RIMS.

In conclusion, Manipur is currently going through one of its most challenging times with rampant ethnic strife causing loss of life and property on an enormous scale.
