New Delhi, Sept 15: The statement by Maneka Gandhi, Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development in which she said that all violence is male generated has not gone down too well with men's rights organisations.

Maneka Gandhi had said, "the role of men in gender sensitization was the most critical since "all the violence is male-generated. We have introduced (the concept of) 'Gender Champions' in schools, under which boys who have been respectful and helpful to girls will be rewarded".

While demanding an apology from the Union Minister, the Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF) has said that the statement directly means violence by women is acceptable.

In spite of the fact that every 8 minutes a married man commits suicide due to torture by women, and male suicide is sky rocketing, she gave this insensitive statement.

'Is Maneka shielding criminal women?'

The SIFF fighting for men's rights says, "recently we saw some very gruesome acts of women like Indrani Mukherjea who killed her own daughter, the mother in Pune, Rakhi, who killed her son by a cricket bat and Ajay Nigam killed by his wife Amita Nigam in Lucknow. By giving such statements Maneka Gandhi is giving shield to these criminal women."

"The statement directly means violence by women is acceptable. In spite of the fact that every 8 minutes a married man commits suicide due to torture by women, and male suicide is sky rocketing, she gave this insensitive statement."

Maneka Gandhi is a Women & Child Development minister (WCD) but before that she is an elected leader of an electoral constituency. Men and women both voted for her and she promised to work for both of them. But now with this biased approach men will think twice before voting for her.

Renuka Chowdhary made same mistake

A few years ago, the Congress minister Renuka Chowdhary made same mistake.

Renuka Chowdhary had given a statement, "It's time for men to suffer."

Renuka had to pay the price of the misandry she did, she lost terribly in elections and her political career was finished. It looks like Maneka Gandhi did not learn anything from Renuka episode while repeating the same mistake. Crime and criminals does not have a gender so by saying that all violence is male generated Maneka Gandhi is defiantly protecting the female criminals.

Do women have a right to kill men?

Spokesperson of Save Indian Family Foundation Jyoti Tiwari strongly condemns the statement of Maneka Gandhi and says "She is actually trying to give license to the morally degraded women to kill men .

According to her women have all the rights to kill men, as women do not generate crime. When she says boys being respectful to the girls will be rewarded it means girls who beat boys will be rewarded too as minister just assumed that all boys are violent criminals and girls are saints."

"Violence on men is much more but we do not have any ministry who can take care of it. Regarding generation of violence, women have always generated more violence than men. Women enjoy seeing men fighting, killing each other for them. Women generate, create, love violence and then blame men for it."

When a woman on position blames men for it, shows that she is coming with a preconceived notion. How can such a woman be expected to work for the welfare of people?" says Rajesh Vakharia, President, SIFF.
