Mandi Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 LIVE Updates: Kangana Ranaut Vs Vikramaditya Singh
In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, BJP's Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress, is up against a challenge from the Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, son of the late former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh.
In the 2019 Elections, BJP's Ram Swaroop Sharma clinched the seat with 6,47,189 votes, overshadowing Congress' Ashray Sharma and CPI (M)'s Dilip Singh Kayath, who secured 2,41,730 and 14,838 votes respectively.

Sharma emerged victorious against Congress's Pratibha Singh, a former two-time MP, with a margin of 39,000 votes in the 2014 Elections. Sharma secured 3.62 lakh votes while Singh got 3.22 lakh votes, with CPI (M)'s Kushal Bhardwaj finishing third.
Mandi is one of the 12 districts in Himachal Pradesh, India. It was created by combining two princely states, Mandi and Suket, on April 15th, 1948, when the State of Himachal Pradesh was established. Since its formation, the district's boundaries have remained unchanged. The chiefs of Mandi and Suket are believed to be descendants of a common ancestor from the Chandravanshi lineage of Rajputs, belonging to the Sena dynasty of Bengal. They trace their ancestry back to the Pandavas of the Mahabharata.
The Mandi district consists of seven Urban Local Bodies, 14 Police Stations and Police Posts, and 12 Subdivisions. It is divided into 14 Development Blocks and covers an area of 3,950 square kilometres. The district comprises 3,374 villages where Hindi, Pahari, and Mandyali are spoken. With a total population of 9,99,777, there are 4,98,065 males and 5,01,712 females in the district.
