Man Shoots Himself in Leg to Implicate Wife in False Case: Gurugram Police
A
In a shocking incident from Gurugram, a man allegedly shot himself in the leg and later reported the incident to police with an intention to falsely implicate his wife. The bizarre event unfolded on Saturday, October 16th as per the local authorities.

The couple involved are Sandeep, a resident of Tauru and his wife Reena. According to Reena's complaint filed with the police, she got married to Sandeep in 2013. However, marital bliss was far from their reality as Sandeep reportedly had violent tendencies and frequently assaulted her. Unable to bear this abuse any longer, Reena moved out of their shared home five months ago and took refuge at her maternal house located in Intra colony.
Desperate Measures
Despite their separation, Sandeep continued contacting Reena either requesting her return or seeking permission to meet their daughter. On Thursday preceding the incident, he called Reena informing her of his intent to visit her parents' house on Saturday. He also expressed desire for them all - him, Reena and their daughter - to attend a fair together.
A Shocking Turn of Events
"He arrived late on Saturday evening," said Reena recounting events in her complaint. "When I stepped outside my house to greet him he threatened me saying that he would frame me in a false case." Taking everyone by surprise he then pulled out a pistol from his bag shooting himself in the leg before promptly calling law enforcement officials.
The Aftermath
Upon receiving reports about this unusual situation police immediately reached the location where they found Sandeep injured with self-inflicted gunshot wounds on one of his legs while still possessing the firearm used for it. They admitted him into civil hospital for medical treatment and simultaneously registered an FIR against him at the Sector 53 police station.
Legal Proceedings
A senior police officer, when asked about the case, said that the accused is still under medical care in the hospital. He reassured that appropriate action will be taken as per legal provisions once Sandeep's health stabilizes. The investigations are ongoing while they await further developments.
In conclusion, this incident serves as a stark reminder of how domestic disputes can escalate to dangerous levels if not addressed appropriately. It underscores the need for timely intervention and support from both societal institutions and law enforcement bodies to prevent such unfortunate events. As for Reena, she now awaits justice while grappling with this traumatic experience.
