The sequence of events unfolded as Rajawat and his neighbor, Vimal Amcha, 35, were walking their dogs along a narrow lane within Krishna Bagh Colony at approximately 11 pm. The dogs became aggressive and engaged in a physical confrontation, which then led to a verbal altercation between Rajawat and Amcha. In response to the dispute, Rajawat retreated to his residence on the first floor and allegedly fired a 12-bore shotgun at Amcha.

A distressing video recording of the incident captured Rajawat loading the shotgun and discharging a warning shot into the air before directing his aim at the street below. The shots were followed by cries of distress from the street.

Tragically, Vimal Amcha, who was the proprietor of a hair salon in the city, lost his life on the spot, as did his brother-in-law, Rahul Verma, aged 27. Jyoti Verma, the pregnant wife of Rahul Verma, sustained a pellet injury to her eye during the incident. Additionally, six other individuals present on the street at the time of the altercation suffered gunshot wounds and have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Among the injured, two are in critical condition.

Law enforcement took swift action, arresting Rajawat along with his son Sudhir and another family member, Shubham. Rajawat is facing charges of murder. According to reports, Rajawat, originally from Gwalior, had been employed as a security guard in Indore by a private company due to his possession of a licensed 12-bore shotgun.

The local community has been left in shock and disbelief by the tragic events. A neighbor named Pallavi Borse recounted that the confrontation escalated when the dogs involved in the initial altercation entered Vimal Amcha's residence, prompting him to attempt to drive them away.

"In the midst of the scuffle between our lane's two pet dogs, one of which belonged to Rajawat, the dogs entered Amcha's house. Amcha's brother Pramod used a stick to shoo Rajawat's dog away. This led to a heated argument between the two groups," Pallavi Borse explained, as quoted by PTI.
