Man Allegedly Murders Delivery Boy Over Cash on Delivery iPhone Order Payment

A delivery man, aged 30, was reportedly murdered by two individuals while delivering an iPhone. The buyer was supposed to pay Rs 1.5 lakh for the phone, according to police reports on Monday. The victim's body was allegedly discarded in the Indira Canal, prompting the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to search for it.

Delivery Boy Killed After iPhone Delivery

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh revealed that Gajanan, a resident of Chinhat, ordered the iPhone from Flipkart using the Cash on Delivery option. On September 23, Bharat Sahu, a delivery worker from Nishatganj, went to deliver the phone. It was then that Gajanan and an accomplice allegedly killed him.

Investigation and Confession

After strangling Sahu, the suspects reportedly placed his body in a sack and disposed of it in the canal. When Sahu did not return home for two days, his family filed a missing person report on September 25 at the Chinhat police station. Police traced Gajanan's number while reviewing Sahu's call records.

The investigation led officers to Gajanan's friend Akash. During questioning, Akash admitted to being involved in the crime. Despite this confession, police have yet to recover Sahu's body. The SDRF team continues their search efforts in the canal.

The case highlights the risks faced by delivery personnel and raises concerns about safety measures for such workers. As authorities work to locate Sahu's body, they also aim to ensure justice is served for this tragic incident.
