Man killed in his sleep by wife in Punjab

Gurdaspur (Pb), May 22: A 30-year-old brick kiln labourer was allegedly killed by his wife with a sharp edged weapon while he was sleeping in his hut at Radda village here today.

Dinesh Kumar Yadav, a native of Nawangarh village in Chhattisgarh's Jahangir Champa district, had a drinking habit and his wife, Sarita, was against it, police said.

The accused has been arrested and a case registered against her, police said, adding she has a daughter and two sons.
