Man gets 20 years imprisonment for raping 14-year-old girl
A man has been sentenced to imprisonment for 20 years in jail for his involvement in the gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in north Bengaluru in December 2014.

Manoj Govindaraj, the main accused has been found guilty of the offences under IPC Section 376 (D). The court also directed him to undergo rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs 2500. While the other accused Lokesh who was on bail died in the road accident.
The incident happened when Lokesh took the victim to the park and raped her. After a while, Manoj also joined and committed the same offence. Later they threatened her if she revealed the offence or tried to approach the police. However, the girl narrated the story to her mother after returning home.
The girl's mother had filed a complaint with the police alleging that her daughter was raped by the two men in a public park on the night of December 9, 2014.
