Man Dies Following Alleged Attack Over Cattle Smuggling Suspicion in Delhi

A 45-year-old man named Yusuf died after being attacked by a group of people who suspected him of cattle smuggling. The incident occurred in Delhi, and Yusuf succumbed to his injuries at Safdarganj Hospital early on Sunday, as reported by the police. Yusuf lived in Ghudpur village, located in Haryana's Palwal district.

According to police sources, Yusuf was involved in cattle rearing and operated a milk business with around 30 animals at his residence. On Friday evening, he purchased a milch animal and its calf from Nagla village and was transporting them home in a rented tempo. He rode a bike while the tempo followed him.

Police Investigation and Family Allegations

The police have filed an FIR against unknown individuals at the Mundkati police station following a complaint from Yusuf's family. They alleged that gau rakshaks were responsible for the fatal assault. The family claimed that Yusuf had no disputes with anyone and was focused on his business.

As the tempo reached Mitrol village, some individuals stopped it, accusing the driver of smuggling cattle. Despite the driver's denial, they tricked him into calling Yusuf to the scene. Upon his arrival, Yusuf was severely beaten by the group.

Community Reaction and Family's Plea

The village sarpanch stated that Yusuf had no conflicts with others and was dedicated to his work. Following the registration of the FIR, Yusuf's family buried his body late on Sunday night. He is survived by four children, and his family has requested financial assistance from the government.

Efforts to reach Palwal Superintendent of Police Chander Mohan for comments were unsuccessful despite multiple attempts. The police continue to investigate the incident to identify those responsible for the attack.
