Man Beaten to Death in Bihar Over Suspected Tractor Theft; Two Arrested

A man named Shambhu Sahni was allegedly killed in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district over suspicions of tractor theft. Police reported the incident on Sunday. According to Aurai police station SHO Abhijit Alkesh, the incident occurred in Yogiyan village on Saturday night. "The incident took place in Yogiyan village on Saturday night when a person was allegedly beaten to death on suspicion of stealing a tractor," he stated. Villagers claimed that Shambhu was attacked by the tractor owner and others.

Arrests and Investigation

Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene on Sunday morning. They transported Shambhu to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Two suspects, Ganga Sahni, the tractor owner, and Pukar Sahni, have been arrested. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Villagers alleged that Shambhu and three others attempted to steal a tractor. A local officer, speaking anonymously, mentioned that villagers caught Shambhu while his three accomplices escaped. Ganga Sahni and other villagers reportedly tied Shambhu to a vehicle and beat him throughout the night until police intervened.
