Man Posing as Indian Air Force Officer Arrested In Bareilly

A man has been arrested in Bareilly for posing as an officer of the Indian Air Force. He was caught outside the Bareilly Air Force Station with fake identity cards and other documents.

In a bizarre incident, a man was arrested in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, for posing as an officer of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The individual, identified as Inder Kumar Mali, aged 40, was apprehended outside the Bareilly Air Force Station.

Deception Revealed

During interrogation, Mali confessed that he had fabricated his identity as an air force officer to deceive his wife. However, his ruse was uncovered when authorities examined his identity cards and other documents, which were found to be counterfeit.

Evidence of Deception

Upon further investigation, the police confiscated several items from Mali's possession, including three Aadhaar cards, three ATM cards, a fake Army ID card, a car bearing an Army logo, two mobile phones, and five SIM cards. These items provided concrete evidence of his deceptive actions.

Modus Operandi

Mali was observed wearing an IAF flight lieutenant's uniform incorrectly, raising suspicions among security personnel. It was later revealed that he hailed from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh but had been residing in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, for the past three years.

Legal Consequences

Based on a complaint filed by the Assistant Security Officer of the Bareilly Air Force Station, Yogendra Yadav, Mali was booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). These charges include cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property, forgery of valuable security, forgery for the purpose of cheating, using a forged document or electronic record as genuine, and impersonating a public servant.

Ongoing Investigation

The case is currently being investigated by the Izzatnagar police station. Authorities are conducting a thorough probe to uncover any additional details or potential accomplices involved in Mali's deceptive activities.
