Nagpur Man Fabricates Kidnapping After Abandoning Lover’s Child on Train
In a distressing incident from Nagpur, a 25-year-old man was arrested for abandoning a 4-year-old boy on a train, fabricating a story of the child's kidnapping. The accused, identified as Hansraj Dyaneshwar Dakhne, reportedly took this drastic step as he perceived the child to be an obstacle in his relationship with the boy's mother. This revelation came to light on Sunday when an official disclosed the details of the case.

The boy's mother, who had separated from her husband due to marital discord, moved to Nagpur for employment opportunities and started working in a lodge. It was here that she encountered Dakhne, leading to a romantic involvement between the two. However, Dakhne's desire to eliminate the presence of her son from their lives led him to concoct a plan under the pretense of enrolling the boy in school. On Friday, he left the child on a Wardha-bound train and later claimed that the boy had been abducted by three men.
The distressed mother immediately sought the assistance of the police following Dakhne's alarming claim. Upon interrogation by the authorities, Dakhne admitted to his deceitful act of leaving the boy alone on the train. The Ganeshpeth police, with support from the Government Railway Police (GRP), successfully located the child at Wardha railway station and facilitated a reunion with his mother.
Dakhne now faces arrest under several charges, including child abandonment and kidnapping, as per the Indian Penal Code. This case underscores the critical importance of vigilance and safety measures for children in public spaces and highlights the swift action taken by law enforcement agencies in safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
