Mamata Banerjee happy over Rajya Sabha clearing GST Bill
Kolkata, Aug 4: Expressing happiness over the passing of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill in Rajya Sabha, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday demanded that small businesses should remain under single control of the states in the new tax regime.
"We (Trinamool Congress) have consistently supported the idea and implementation of GST. Good constitutional amendment was passed today (Wednesday)," Banerjee tweeted.

"Now in GST Bill all states want to give relief to micro and small businesses which must remain under single control of the states," she wrote in another tweet.
The GST Bill was passed in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday after it was tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
