Akhilesh Yadav: Make arrangement for treatment of injured

The Chief Minister asked the officials to be in touch with those affected and prepare a list of those whose houses had been damaged in the violence so that financial assistance could be provided to them, an official spokesman said here.
Akhilesh had earlier announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to kin of those killed and Rs 50,000 to those critically injured in the violence.
The commissioner and district magistrate had been asked to follow these directives strictly, the spokesman added. A total of 40 people have died in the clashes in Muzaffarnagar district and adjoining towns.
Akhilesh had earlier said that efforts were being made so that no more violent incidents take place in Muzaffarnagar and also warned strict action against those who were found guilty in the communal flare up.
