Major fire at clothing showroom in Punjab

Jalandhar, Jan 22: A massive fire broke out at a two-storey garment showroom in Model Town area on Friday, fire department officials said.

A fire was reported at around 8:45 am, following which 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The blaze is under control now, a fire department official said.

No casuality has been reported due to the fire so far. The damaged caused cannot be ascertained till the flames are completely put out, the official said.

Police said the reason behind the fire was being probed.
