Maihar Assembly by-poll on February 13 in MP

Bhopal, Jan 12: The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday, Jan 12 announced by-poll schedule for the Maihar Assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh which will be held on February 13.

With the announcement of poll schedule in Maihar seat, the model code of conduct has come into force with immediate effect, an election official said.

The nomination will begin on January 20 and end on January 27. Scrutiny of papers will be done on January 28 while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 30, he said.

The date of polling is February 13, while the counting of votes will take place on February 16, the official added.
