A video featuring Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Pinaki Misra dancing to the classic Bollywood tune "Raat Ke Humsafar" has taken social media by storm, offering a rare and intimate glimpse into their recent wedding celebration.

The couple quietly tied the knot in Berlin, Germany, on 3 May. Moitra, who represents Krishnanagar in West Bengal, and Misra, a seasoned parliamentarian from Puri in Odisha, opted for a private ceremony attended only by close family and friends.

The now-viral clip shows the newlyweds enjoying a tender moment as they dance to the romantic number from the 1967 film An Evening in Paris.

The video has drawn a flood of congratulations from fellow politicians and admirers, many commenting on the charming and unexpected nature of the pairing.

Moitra also shared a photo from the celebration on social media, showing the couple cutting their wedding cake together.

Smiling as they marked the occasion, the Trinamool MP expressed her gratitude in a post on X: "Thank you everyone for the love and good wishes!! So grateful," she wrote.

Born on 12 October 1974 in Assam, Mahua Moitra began her career as an investment banker before turning to politics.

She joined the Trinamool Congress in 2010 and quickly climbed the ranks. Elected to the Lok Sabha from Krishnanagar in 2019, she successfully retained her seat in the 2024 general elections.

Pinaki Misra, born on 23 October 1959 in Puri, began his political career with the Indian National Congress, winning his first Lok Sabha seat from Puri in 1996.

He later joined the BJD under Naveen Patnaik and has been re-elected multiple times, securing wins in 2009, 2014, and 2019.
