Throughout the Mahakumbh, six significant bathing days were observed. Among them, three were Amrit Snans: Makar Sankranti on January 14, Mauni Amavasya on January 29, and Basant Panchami on February 3. Other important snan days included Paush Purnima on January 13, Maghi Purnima on February 12, and today's Mahashivratri.
Transport and Security Measures At Mahakumbh
To accommodate the massive influx of devotees, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has deployed 4,500 buses. Additionally, over 350 trains are operating to facilitate travel for pilgrims attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. These measures aim to ensure smooth and safe transportation for all attendees.
The Prayagraj area has been declared a 'no vehicle zone' during Mahashivratri snan. Electric shuttles are being used to assist elderly devotees in reaching their destinations. This step is part of broader efforts to manage traffic and ensure safety during this auspicious occasion.
Efficient Crowd Management At Mahakumbh
Security forces are actively patrolling the area to manage crowds effectively. DIG Vaibhav Krishna stated that crowd control measures are being implemented efficiently at the Kumbh Mela site. Personnel are directing people towards designated ghats to maintain order and prevent overcrowding.
Volunteers and NGO workers are also playing a crucial role by assisting devotees in reaching the ghats for their holy dip. Their efforts contribute significantly to managing the large number of attendees smoothly.

Technological Integration At Mahakumbh
The use of technology has been a highlight of this year's Mahakumbh Mela. Breathtaking drone visuals captured lakhs of devotees taking a holy dip at Sangam, offering a unique perspective on this massive event.
In addition to visual technology, continuous announcements are being made to guide people away from crowded areas. This approach helps prevent congestion and ensures a safer environment for all participants.
