Fadnavis Govt splurging crores on 'Make in India' despite drought: NCP
Mumbai, Feb 10: The NCP today alleged that the BJP-government in Maharashtra was splurging crores of rupees on organising the 'Make in India Week' here even as the state is "reeling under" acute drought conditions.
"The event is being held in a grand manner and around Rs 70 to 80 crore are being spent on holding it in Mumbai," NCP leader Sachin Ahir said.

"Splurging such an amount while the state is reeling under acute drought is a cruel mockery of people of Maharashtra," the former state minister said.
"At a time when farmers and the common man in the state are facing hardship due to drought, five-star celebrations are being held in the name of attracting foreign investment," Ahir said.
"Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray says his party will quit power if needed in the interests of farmers but on the other hand, his party ministers and leaders sulk as he hasn't got a place to sit next to the PM at the Make in India Week inaugural event," Ahir alleged.
The 'Make-in-India' Week will be inaugurated by Modi on January 13 and it will conclude on January 18.
