Maharashtra Polls 2024: Uddhav Thackeray Met Devendra Fadnavis When Amit Shah Was In Mumbai? Read Details Here
In the poll-bound Maharashtra, politics scenes are changing at a fast pace. Reports doing round the internet claim, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray recently met senior BJP leader and deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis during Home Minister Amit Shah's recent Mumbai, Maharashtra visit. Uddhav Thackeray is a key alliance partner in Opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and also their designated Chief Minister face. But will he switch sides and join hands with BJP-led Mahayuti right ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024? This is what everyone is asking on social media.
However, Shiv Sena UBT spokesperson Sanjay Raut refuted all such claims and speculations stating that no such meeting happened between Uddhav Thackeray and Devendra Fadnavis.

According to recent media reports, things are not fine between MVA alliance partners Congres-Shiv Sena UBT- NCP (Sharad Pawar fraction) over seat sharing.
"Everyone has to make a few sacrifices and take a step back," said Sanjay Raut highlighting the importance of mutual adjustments for the greater good of the alliance.
Aligning Politics with National Interests
Sanjay Raut further elaborated on the coalition's broader objectives, stating, "This is not about sacrifice, this is about national interest and Maharashtra's interest." He underscored the alliance's commitment to upholding constitutional values and its determination to oust what he termed a corrupt government in Maharashtra. His remarks reflect an attempt to steer the narrative away from individual political ambitions towards a collective endeavor aimed at safeguarding democratic principles and ensuring governance that resonates with the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra.
Elections for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra will be held in a single-phase on November 20 and the counting of votes will be done on November 23.
