Maharashtra Exit Polls: Diverse Predictions Emerge For Crucial Lok Sabha Seats
The Maharashtra exit poll results show varied predictions from local and national media. Maharashtra, with 48 Lok Sabha seats, is crucial for forming the central government. Most national exit polls predict an edge for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, but the numbers differ. Both agree that NDA won't repeat its 2019 performance of winning 41 out of 48 seats.
Chanakya News24 predicts Mahayuti will win 28-38 seats. In contrast, the opposition India Block or Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is expected to get only 10-20 seats. Axis My India gives similar figures, with Mahayuti getting 28-32 seats and MVA getting 16-20 seats. Others, like AIMIM or Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, may get 0-2 seats.

Other national media also favour NDA/Mahayuti. CVoter-ABP gives Mahayuti 22-26 seats and MVA 23-25 seats. Matrize-Republic predicts Mahayuti will get 30-36 seats and MVA will get 13-19 seats. According to these projections, BJP may get 13-18 seats, Shiv Sena 4-6 seats, and NCP 0-2 seats in Maharashtra.
Local media projections show MVA ahead of Mahayuti. The Shiv Sena (UBT) may win 9-14 seats, Congress 3-8 seats, NCP (SC) 4-6 seats, and Others 1 seat. Regional channels predict Mahayuti will get 22-23 seats while MVA may get 24-26 seats.
Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar said he is confident they will win all six Mumbai seats. He expects a result of 4-2 in favour of BJP. Congress is optimistic about crossing the figure of 30 in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole believes India Block will win at least 300 seats nationally and more than 30 in Maharashtra.
NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said exit polls are unreliable. He expects MVA to win a minimum of 35 seats.
