Maharashtra: CM Devendra Fadnavis Wins Trust Motion With 237-MLA Votes
The Maharashtra government, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, secured a trust vote in the Assembly with backing from 237 MLAs. The Mahayuti coalition demonstrated its majority through a voice vote on the final day of a special three-day session. This event marked a significant moment for the state's political landscape.
Earlier in the day, BJP MLA Rahul Narvekar was chosen unopposed as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. This marks his second term in this role. The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) did not present a candidate against him, allowing for an uncontested election.

Maharashtra Assembly Election Results
In the recent Maharashtra assembly elections, the Mahayuti coalition, comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, achieved remarkable success. They won over 230 out of 288 seats. In contrast, the MVA managed to secure only 46 seats collectively. This outcome highlighted the strong support for Mahayuti among voters.
According to the Election Commission's data, within Mahayuti, BJP secured 132 seats, Shiv Sena obtained 57 seats, and NCP garnered 41 seats. Meanwhile, MVA's Shiv Sena (UBT) got 20 MLAs; Congress and NCP (SP) received 16 and 10 seats respectively.
