Maharashtra Chief Minister Visits Salman Khan, Promises Enhanced Security

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde made a significant visit to actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra, Mumbai, following an alarming incident where two individuals were arrested for firing at the actor's house. The Chief Minister assured the Bollywood superstar of enhanced protection measures and vowed to take stringent action against those involved in the unsettling event.

CM Assures Salman Khans Safety

During his interaction with the media, Shinde emphasized the government's stance against underworld activities in Mumbai, stating, "There is no gang war in Mumbai. The Underworld has no place in Mumbai. This is Maharashtra, this is Mumbai. We will finish this Lawrence Bishnoi gang so that no one dares to do such a thing," referring to the attack on Khan's residence.

The Chief Minister informed that he has directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to increase the security cover for Khan and his family members, reinforcing the government's commitment to their safety. "I have assured Salman Khan that the government stands behind him and his safety is the government's responsibility. The government will ensure that no one dares do such an act in Mumbai," Shinde stated.

The arrest of two suspects, Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Pal, 21, was a significant development in the case. They were apprehended late Monday night from a temple premises in Gujarat's Kutch district after being on the run post the firing incident at Khan's house on Sunday. According to police reports, one of the suspects fired five rounds while riding pillion on a motorcycle, with one bullet hitting the wall and another the gallery of Khan's residence.

Shinde assured that the police are thoroughly investigating the incident to uncover the truth and determine who is behind this act. He promised that strict action would be taken against those found responsible. The visit by Shinde to Khan's residence was also attended by former MLA Baba Siddiqui, his son and Congress legislator Zeeshan Siddiqui, and Shiv Sena leader Rahul Kanal.

This incident has raised concerns about security and law enforcement in Mumbai, prompting immediate action from state authorities to prevent any further threats to public figures and maintain peace in the city.
