Maharashtra: BJP wins Mukhed Assembly bypoll
Aurangabad, Feb 17: BJP candidate Tushar Govind Rathod has defeated Hanumantrao Patil Betmogrekar of Congress in the by-election to Mukhed Assembly seat in Maharashtra's Nanded district.
The election was necessitated following the death of Mukhed sitting BJP MLA and Tushar's father Govind Rathod.

Tushar Rathod defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of over 47,000 votes.
Rathod bagged 1,00,319 votes while Patil polled 53,071 votes, as per the returning officer.
With Tushar's victory, the BJP's strength in the state Assembly has increased to 122.
