Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 Full Schedule: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Tuesday, October 15, that Maharashtra will hold its Assembly polls in a single phase on November 20, with the counting of votes set for November 23. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar made the announcement during a press conference, where he outlined key details regarding the upcoming elections.

With the declaration of the poll schedule, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand. This code regulates the actions of political parties and candidates during the election period to ensure free and fair elections.

In Maharashtra, there are a total of 288 assembly seats, with 234 seats falling under the general category. The state boasts a significant electorate, with approximately 9.63 crore voters. Among these, 25 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (STs) and 29 for Scheduled Castes (SCs), as noted by the Chief Election Commissioner.
