Mahan Air flight makes emergency landing after engine failure
Air Traffic Control at Delhi's IGI Aiport declared full emergency on an Iranian airline Mahan Air flight due to engine failure.
The aircraft -- A340-300 -- took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport here at around 1627 hours but was forced to return soon.
The flight had departed from Delhi to Tehran at 4.27 pm and returned after full emergency was declared.
Details about the number of passengers onboard could not be immediately ascertained, while the airline could not be contacted.
Mahan Air is a private carrier based in Tehran, Iran.
