Mahakumbh 2025: Pilgrims' Bus Collides With Car In Prayagraj, 7 Injured
On a journey to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, a mini bus filled with 27 pilgrims from Mathura encountered an accident on the Kalyanpur Overbridge. The collision happened when an unidentified vehicle abruptly stopped, leading to a crash with the pilgrims' vehicle. This incident, taking place under the Kokhraj police station area, resulted in seven passengers sustaining minor injuries. The Superintendent of Police, Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, provided details of the unfortunate event, noting that the injured were promptly given first aid on the site. Despite the mishap, the pilgrims resumed their journey, eventually making it to their destination.
The pilgrims, who were on their way to the religious gathering, faced an unexpected challenge early in the morning. The collision not only highlighted the risks associated with road travel but also the resilience of the travelers. Superintendent Srivastava further stated, "Seven passengers suffered minor injuries. They were given first aid at the spot and continued their journey to Prayagraj after treatment. All of them have now reached the Maha Kumbh." This incident underscores the unpredictable nature of road journeys and the importance of immediate medical assistance in mitigating further complications.

The Maha Kumbh, a significant event drawing devotees from across the nation, is an occasion that sees a surge in pilgrim movement towards Prayagraj. Recognizing the importance of facilitating this influx, over 150 special trains have been scheduled to run for the Maha Kumbh on Mauni Amavasya. This logistical arrangement signifies the efforts made to accommodate the large number of visitors expected to attend the religious festival. Despite the unfortunate incident on the Kalyanpur Overbridge, the pilgrims' determination to participate in the Maha Kumbh remained unshaken, as they continued their journey after receiving necessary medical care.
